Updated: Nov 22

Holiday eating and the fear of weight gain is a concern for most. Family gatherings with a plethora of food can cause anxiety and pressure. Here are five tips to help you through the holidays.

  1. Practice mindful eating. Slow down, savor your food.

  2. Get plenty of sleep 💤. Sleep deprivation sends your hormones out of whack and may cause overeating.

  3. Keep meals balanced with protein. Protein promotes fullness and reduces hunger.

  4. Go easy on the alcohol.🍷Drinking alcohol is often linked to an increased appetite and is a risk factor for weight gain—especially in the mid-section.
