Social Media Internship


NickiFit is a mobile fitness business providing in-home personal training, group classes and weight loss challenges in non-traditional places for exercise. We seek to customize high standards of exercise for people of all fitness levels. The goal is to empower people in their fitness journey. We provide the coaching, accountability and expertise required to help clients transform their bodies. Throughout the training process, we prepare our clients with a mindset for success that influences every area of their lives.

The NickiFit Social Media Content Coordinator internship program is designed to allow undergraduates and recent graduates from college, university or vocational school to represent a company through an online channel. Interns will help implement and maintain online marketing strategies through social media. Basic office and administrative tasks may be required. 


  • Write to boost engagement and extend an organic reach.

  • Understand the link between search engine optimization (SEO) and social media reach.

  • Connect with consumers to build brand awareness.

  • Create great content that people will like and share.

  • Design and have the ability to recognize and create images that are on-brand.

  • Understand how to prove and improve return of investment.

  • Create compelling content for various social media platforms using video.

  • Optimize video for different social media channels.

  • Understand the relationship between organic and paid social presence.

  • Ensure that all your data and ideas come from credible sources.

  • Use research to tailor content to your audience.

  • Align social media goals with the business goals that represent the vision, culture and values of NickiFit.​

RESPONSIBILITIES may include but not limited to:

Writing online content for blogs, websites and social media.

  • Act as the voice of the brand across social media communities which will include, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

  • Research new options for digital/social channels as they arise.

  • Develop content strategies and calendars

  • Measure and report growth and engagement of social media.

  • Attend group exercise classes when appropriate to interact with clients, coworkers and the public.

  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the NickiFit vision, culture and values in all interactions with clients, coworkers and the public.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.​


Interns work a minimum of 8 hours per week and a maximum of 15 hours per week. Schedule is flexible and requires the ability to work well without supervision. The work environment is not traditional (i.e. office on-the-go, ability to set up a remote office) and is mostly independent.

  • Positive, enthusiastic, energetic personality.

  • Punctual and reliable.

  • Demonstrate excellent written language skills.

  • Demonstrate high level of creativity.

  • Ability to create work remotely.

  • Have a thorough understanding of social media and PR/marketing principles.

  • Perform additional administrative duties as delegated.


NickiFit internships are unpaid.  A stipend of $250 will be paid to cover expenses such as travel, gas, etc. Food will be provided for meetings. Interns who demonstrate excellent performance may be eligible for employment after the internship is completed. The stipend is paid monthly on the 30th as follows:

  • Month 1 - $50

  • Month 2 - $100

  • Month 3 - $100
