ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

ABOUT THE POSITION

Location: Work-From-Home, Macedonia Baptist Church (Friday night), Lee A Tolbert Community Annex (Saturday morning)

 

GENERAL PURPOSE
Provide support to owner and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s administrative activities.


DUTIES

  • Manage and produce office communications—phone calls, emails, letters, faxes and forms

  • Organize and schedule meetings and some appointments

  • Schedule and manage calendars

  • Maintain contact lists

  • Help plan events and initiatives

  • Maintain computer office filing system

  • Track and order supplies

  • Research and create presentations

  • Carry out duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.

  • Book meeting rooms

  • Reply to email, phone and text messages and online inquiries

  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

  • Handle sign-in desk for weekend classes—take payments (cash, credit or debit)

  • Manage paperwork and tracking system for weekend classes


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Degree, or proven equivalent work experience.

  • Strong communication skills, including writing, grammar and spelling.

  • Proficient in iOS and Mac OS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The minimum work-at-home requirements are:

  • Quiet, noise-free home office space that is free from distractions

  • Existing high-speed internet access at home (Ethernet, no wireless)

  • PC with a minimum of i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 40 GB of free space

  • MAC preferred

  • Work environment not traditional (i.e. office on-the-go, ability to set up a remote office away from home) ​

 

COMPENSATION

This position pays $10.00/hour with a commitment of a minimum of 6 hours per week.
